Windows 10 comes with the new Microsoft Edge as its default browser.
But, if you don’t like using Edge as your default internet browser, you can switch to a different browser such as Internet Explorer 11, which still runs on Windows 10, by following these simple steps.
Change your default browser in Windows 10
Click on Start > Settings > System. Choose Default Apps, then scroll down to Web browser.
Tap or click the browser that’s currently listed as your default, which will probably be Microsoft Edge.
From within this list, select Internet Explorer 11, or any other web browser that you already have installed, from the list of apps that appears. This will set the alternative browser as your new default.
If you download any new browsers, such as Google Chrome or Firefox, they will typically prompt you to set them as the new default browser when they are first installed on your computer.
Pin your browser to the Taskbar or Start menu
For easy access to your preferred web browser, it's a good idea to pin it to the Taskbar (the grey bar along the bottom of the desktop) or Start menu. You can pin a shortcut to your browser in both the Taskbar and Start menu, if you like.
This means you won't have to search for your browser or scroll through all your apps to find it.
